A high-altitude gem: DV Catena L'Esploratore La Rioja Malbec 2022 is a wine born at 1,850 meters above sea level in the Los Quiroga vineyard, located in Angulos, La Rioja. This 100% Malbec, grown in deep, poor, sandy soils, reflects the pure identity of the Riojan terroir and stands out as one of the most distinctive expressions in the Catena Zapata portfolio.
"On the nose, it reveals an attractive combination of red fruits like cherries and strawberries, intertwined with mineral notes of wet stone, dry spices, and a refreshing herbal touch. On the palate, it is firm, smooth, and elegant, with fine-grained tannins and perfectly balanced acidity. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a delightful impression of ripe fruit and subtle smoky notes."
