Description

The 2021 harvest was considered the best white in price-quality ratio by Tim Atkin in his report "Argentina Special Report 2022"

In this new harvest of Altos Las Hormigas Blanco Blend, they incorporate the Pedro Giménez strain into the cut, a white Creole grape variety that is the most planted in Argentina.

A silvery yellow wine, with greenish reflections. On the nose it has a high aromatic intensity, with fruity notes reminiscent of peach, pineapple and a hint of grapefruit. Pedro Giménez provides complexity on the nose, where we can also find herbal notes.

The entry into the mouth is very fresh, with a balanced acidity that gives us a tension and structure that become the backbone of this wine. Its flavor is fruity, concentrated, thanks to the work with stalks and skins during fermentation.

It is an ideal wine to enjoy as an aperitif with personality or pair it with white meats, light sauces or ocean and river fish.

The varieties were made separately, using different processes. A percentage was made traditionally, while part of the grapes were fermented with skins and another with up to 30% stem. All varieties of the cut were fermented with indigenous yeasts in concrete tanks. Malolactic fermentation occurred in the same pools. It was aged for 6 months in concrete vats. It has no passage through oak.
