A high-altitude gem: DV Catena L'Esploratore La Rioja Malbec 2023 is a wine born at 1,850 meters above sea level in the Los Quiroga vineyard, in Angulos, La Rioja. This 100% Malbec, grown in poor, deep, sandy soils, expresses with purity the identity of the Rioja terroir and represents one of the most distinctive expressions in the Catena Zapata portfolio.

"On the nose, it unfolds an appealing combination of red fruits such as cherries and strawberries, interwoven with mineral notes of wet stone, dried spices, and a subtle herbal touch. On the palate, it is firm, smooth, and elegant, with finely grained, well-defined tannins and perfectly balanced acidity. The finish is long and persistent, leaving a delicious impression of ripe fruit and delicate smoky notes."
