El Enemigo Single Vineyard El Mirador Bonarda 2023 is a deeply expressive red wine produced by Bodega Aleanna, created by partner and master winemaker Alejandro Vigil. Sourced from the El Mirador vineyard in Rivadavia, Eastern Mendoza, at an altitude of 650 meters (2,132 ft), the vines grow in sandy soils resting over deep clay. The 2023 vintage was characterized by low yields following late spring frosts, resulting in an earlier harvest that yielded remarkably elegant, fresh wines with high natural acidity and powerful minerality. Fermented with wild yeasts at a maximum temperature of 28°C (82°F) for 15 days, followed by a gentle 15-day post-fermentative infusion with minimal movement, the wine aged for 12 months in traditional oak foudres.
"In the glass, it displays a dark ruby red color with subtle violet hues. The nose offers an expressive bouquet of fresh red berries, wild plums, floral touches, and delicate spicy nuances from oak aging. On the palate, it exhibits exceptional tension and crisp natural acidity, featuring a fine-grained texture, vibrant fruit purity, and powerful minerality that carries into a long, memorable finish."
