Altos Las Hormigas Visión Sur Malbec 2023 is a modern, fresh, and precise expression of Luján de Cuyo Malbec, made entirely from certified organic grapes sourced from two unique colluvial plots within Finca El Hormiguero. With no oak influence, this wine prioritizes fruit purity, verticality, and great texture, guided by an early harvest and a philosophy of minimal intervention in both vineyard and winery.
"Lively ruby-red in color, the nose is complex and multilayered, offering a slightly reductive profile on first approach with a clear reminiscence of gunpowder, opening up to reveal cherry, jarilla, menthol, aniseed, and notes of pepperwort flower, carob, and raspberry. On the palate, it delivers a chalky, very fine-grained texture with a distinct mineral sensation and juicy, velvety tannins. Its long finish and structured yet fresh profile make it ideal for pairing with flame-grilled goat with Andean potatoes, eggplant lasagna, or grilled girolles."
