Gancia Aperitivo Americano is a classic, deeply aromatic, and timeless white aperitif that stands out for its unmistakable sweet and herbal identity. The first step of its careful production process involves sourcing premium botanicals from different parts of the world, ranging from the Argentine mountainous regions to Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and Madagascar. These herbs are weighed, ground, and automatically mixed before being submerged in a hydroalcoholic solution of alcohol and water. Through a room-temperature maceration process, their essential flavors and perfumes are meticulously extracted. The resulting plant extracts are then aged for several months to allow the flavors to blend, creating a beautiful "marriage" that harmonizes the distinct bitter, astringent, citrus, and sweet notes of its diverse components.
