Gran Enemigo Agrelo Single Vineyard comes from a Catena-owned vineyard rooted in deep clay soils, irrigated only once. This site consistently delivers wines of remarkable balance, buffering vintage effects and offering moderate alcohol, restraint, and excellent freshness. Agrelo is known for its signature profile of spices, clove, herbs, berries, and floral notes, while the élevage adds subtle toasted and smoky nuances. The wine is savory, precise, and refined, with very fine-grained tannins. Although labeled as Cabernet Franc, it includes 15% Malbec, aged for 15 months in ancient oak foudres.
