Description
Mosquita Muerta Extra Brut is an exceptional, complex, and highly exclusive sparkling wine that represents a masterclass in precision craftsmanship. Sourced from the winery's proprietary estate, Finca Mosquita Muerta, located at an altitude of over 1,300 meters above sea level in the prestigious Los Chacayes district of Tunuyán, Uco Valley, the grapes are meticulously hand-harvested in 12 kg crates during the early hours of the morning. Guided by the unique "La Eterna Reserva" (The Eternal Reserve) concept, 5,000 liters are produced each year since 2015, where 3,000 liters are bottled and 2,000 liters remain to mature and blend with the following year's vintage. Forty percent of the blend ages annually in used 1,000-liter oak tuns, followed by an extensive 36 months of aging on its lees in the bottle, resulting in a remarkably sophisticated, multi-vintage inspired sparkling wine with a strictly limited production of only 4,000 bottles.
"Showing a refined and elegant presentation in the glass with a persistent and delicate perlage, the nose opens with great complexity, offering rich layered aromas of ripe white fruits and citrus beautifully intertwined with sophisticated notes of toasted brioche, praline, and subtle nutty undertones from its extensive lees contact. On the palate, it enters with remarkable tension and volume, displaying a creamy texture perfectly balanced by a crisp, vibrant natural acidity. Its finish is exceptionally long, complex, and rewarding, leaving a lasting impression of elegance." (Note: As official tasting notes were not explicitly provided in the technical sheet, this description was crafted based on its premium grape varieties, high-altitude terroir, and traditional method aging process).
